I have a toddler

In a matter of 12 hours, Jeremy single handily made my baby grow up. I was dragging my feet because I guess I just didn't want to admit that I too was attached to his prized possession. Jeremy took away all of the bottles.

We were still giving him a bottle first thing in the morning and in the evening before bed. I came home last night and Jeremy said he warmed the milk up in a sippy cup and Holden took it like a champ, no bottle. This morning I got up with Holden and Jeremy handed him another warm sippy cup of milk and he again took it with no problem.

I'll have to say I'm a little sad about it. I know we needed to eliminate the bottles, they evoked a strong "gimmy gimmy" reaction from Holden even when he wasn't hungry. But I guess I was just as attached to holding my little baby in my arms while he had his bottle.

Oh well, I'm sure I will get over it. We can't go back now.
