We have been counting our blessings that we made it to 13.5 months before food issues started popping up. It started with carrots and a refusal to eat them. Now Holden is refusing peas, avocado and his one time favorite green beans. We have tried to season them different ways and sneak them into pasta with no luck. We are even getting gagging now. Fruit on the other hand he is all about.
Second problem we have is lots of puking lately. Not sure what is going on but it is always after his night bottle. He seems fine and all I just think he is eating too much. He is a little congested but nothing like previous colds. We are going to stop giving him the night bottle unless he is really fussy and see if that works. I'm just concerned he won't get his 24 ounces of milk in a day if we take out the bedtime bottle. Any suggestions are welcome.

uggg, sorry to hear that! we have also been struggling with the veggies. although, with us it went from eating next to nothing, to eating mostly fruit and carbs and eschewing veggies. even sweet potatoes with butter and brown sugar (we were desperate....). he picks around them on his plate and will spit them out if snuck into a bite with something else. it is actually pretty impressive...
for the moment, my strategy is not to force it. i don't want him to start hating food or using it is a tool to get what he wants (e.g., he stops eating because he knows he'll get a reaction from us...). i continue to offer a variety of veggies, seasoned, buttered, however we're eating and veeeerrrrry occasionally, he tries them. and i ignore him. try to keep it as normal as possible : )
i wish i could help with the puking :( poor guy!
In terms of helping with the milk (really calcium/dairy) amount I only let daycare give Cameron milk, never water or juice. That way I'm assured she gets a certain amount of milk a day. We're still doing morning and bedtime bottles but mostly because I'm lazy and Cameron is teething. Typically we give her the bedtime bottle about 30 minutes before bed. She usually drinks half of it and then we bring the rest up to her room for her to finish before she gets rocked. Perhaps if you "slow" down Holden by doing half of the bottle earlier he won't throw up? Also, we're still mixing 3 ounces of formula with 4 ounces of milk and I am a bit worried to go to 7 ounces of milk. That's a lot!
